Visitors and locals gather at Sunset Beach near Cape May Point on clear evenings to watch the beauty of the sun setting unfold slowly before their eyes. Found at the end of Sunset Boulevard this popular spot in know for watching the sunset, kite flying, fishing and taking stunning pictures.

These little bits of quartz travel down the Delaware River into the bay and end up at Sunset Beach because they run into the other well known attraction the concrete ship. Every Evening from Memorial Day through the summer there is a Flag Raising ceremony. All the flags flown are flags from the caskets of veterans. Since 1973 The Flag raising ceremony has been taking place on Sunset beach.
Directions: from the center of Cape May, New Jersey, take Lafayette Avenue to West Perry Street, into Sunset Boulevard; continue for about 3 miles. Sunset Boulevard ends at Sunset Beach.
